Are there templates for the model and view of a lab report?

I've reviewed the Reference and the topics in the FAQ, but I still have a question: Is there a recommended model/Object for uploading a lab report that contains both tabular data and media files? I see that I could build my own from individual properties, but I'd like to follow best practices.
Is there also a view (web-based dashboard) designed for display of such lab reports?
